Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. is seeking an Children and Family Services Case Worker to join the Children & Family Services Department. This position is Full Time/40 hours per week and located at the Main Office in Auburn, NY. The Children and Family Services Case Worker will be responsible to provide services designed to restore, rehabilitate and support a child's/youth's developmentally appropriate functioning as necessary for the integration of the child/youth as an active productive member of their family and community with the goal of achieving minimal on-going professional intervention. Responsibilities which include the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Receive referral from licensed practitioner and initiate contact with identified client/family.
  • Provide rehabilitative and supportive services identified on the treatment plan which may include social and interpersonal skills, emotional and behavioral management, self-care and independent living skills, daily living skills and community integration.
  • Services are provided in a variety of community locations where the child/youth lives, works, attends school, engages in services and/or socializes.
  • Provide services in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
  • Complete all documents in a timely manner.
  • Consistently meet Agency productivity standards.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or in related human services, plus one year of applicable experience or who have been certified in an Evidenced Based Practice (in lieu of one year experience requirement). These may also include: Registered Professional Nurses with one year of behavioral health experience, Licensed Occupational Therapists, and Licensed Creative Arts Therapists (LCAT) to the extent they are operating under the scope of their license. OR
  • Bachelor's degree and certification in an Evidenced Based Practice consistent with the CPST component being delivered. OR
  • Bachelor's degree and three years applicable experience in children's mental health, addiction, and/or foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice or other related human services field and no certification in an Evidenced Based Practice.
